Frederik Jansen Optometrist is a owner managed practice. We are situated in Melkbosstrand, 30 km from Cape Town, South Africa.

We have a special interest in the fitting of irregular corneas with contact lenses. High astigmatism, Corneal ectasia (Keratoconus, Pelucid marginal degeneration), and post surgical irregular corneas (Post RK, Lasik and corneal transplants.)

We perform a comprehensive eye test. It will include a refraction, tonometry, slitlamp assessment, opthalmoscopy and binocular balancing assessment.

Fitting and dispensing of spectacles. Fit and supply all major brands of soft contact lenses. These include compensation for common eye problems such as Myopia (Nearsightedness), Hyperopia (Farsightedness), Astigmatism and Presbyopia. We fit common and advanced hard contact lenses.
